Student Tutoring
Students who are qualified to tutor may apply to be placed on a tutoring list by the appropriate College Dean of Education / Chief Academic Officer. Students who need tutoring services may contact the RainStar administrative offices or the Dean for this list. Tutoring costs range from $10 to $15 per hour and are paid directly to the tutor.
Audio Taping of Classes
Students are encouraged to use whatever reasonable means are available to facilitate the learning process, including, but not limited to, audio taping classes. For security reasons videotaping classes is prohibited.
Library Materials
Students may request use of videos, CD-ROM's, teaching aides, etc., by asking an instructor to check them out from the university library
and have the material available in class for class and student usage. Materials borrowed must be returned immediately upon completion of class.
Otherwise, all materials must remain in the Library at all times since the RainStar Library is a reference only facility and the library materials are needed for all students and faculty for research purposes. The library is open for student use from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday.
Housing
Although RainStar does not supply housing at this time, a list of affordable apartments, rooms for rent, roommate services and extended stay hotels is available in our Relocation Section.
Career Placement Assistance
RainStar assists and supports students in obtaining part-time or full-time job placement. In addition, we are in touch with administrators of therapy centers, chiropractic offices, and other health care facilities who are looking for therapeutic massage professionals or acupuncturists to employ. We endeavor to educate the public and create a market for our graduates within the USA through advertising, public speaking, written information, and the internship program. Even though placement cannot be guaranteed, we are committed to the support and assistance of our students in fulfilling their employment visions. RainStar maintains a job and career list from many employers locally and nationally. Students and Alumni are entitled to receive a current issue of the listing of the RainStar Graduate Career Opportunities list at any time.
