We believe that individual achievement is maximized by a dynamic, interactive community where dialogue occurs among engaged students, staff and faculty from all disciplines. Thus, the approach is student-centered and in a manner that bridges the social sciences and humanities with the natural and applied sciences.

Undergraduate programs are 90 credit, 3 year programs for students who have completed the 2 year CEGEP program.

The programs are built around the Core Courses which are taken throughout a students U1 to U3 years. Additionally, students choose a thematic area ("Domain") built on courses offered through disciplines, departments and faculties across the university. The Domains offered vary according to the Faculty of Admission.

The offers six undergraduate degree programs:

B.Sc. Major Environment for students in the Faculty of Science (offered on the Downtown Campus)
B.Sc. Major Environment for students in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (offered on the Macdonald Campus)
B.A. Faculty Program Environment for students in the Faculty of Arts (offered on the Downtown Campus)
B.A.&Sc. Interfaculty Program Environment for students in the Bachelor of Arts & Science degree (offered on the Downtown Campus)
B.A.&Sc. Interfaculty Program Sustainability, Science and Society for students in the Bachelor of Arts & Science degree (offered on the Downtown Campus)
Diploma in Environment (offered through the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Arts (Downtown Campus); and the Faculty of Ag.Env.Sc. (Macdonald Campus)

In addition, an Environment Honours program is available to students in all Environment Bachelors degree programs.

Students in other Departments and Programs can undertake an Environment Minor or Minor Concentration.
